New Growth: Ditch and Switch? By: Anu Prestonia of Khamit Kinks Salon
"My stylist has been with me through my good permed days as well as my challenging permed days. Perms and press and curls are her specialty. But now that I'm going natural I'm not quite sure what I should do.
Should I stay loyal and try to make it work with her, even though natural hair care and styling are not her strong points?" ~Natural Newbie
That’s a very good question. If your stylist is open to stretching herself and learning something new, I say give her a try. She hung in there with you and wouldn’t it be nice if you were able to broaden her horizons? You never know, she might turn out to be dynamic with natural styles given the chance to do so. Give her a try and see how it goes. You can always move on to someone else if it doesn’t work out, but this way at least you gave her the opportunity to continue to serve you. It could be a win-win situation and a very rewarding experience for the both of you. ~Anu Prestonia
